Gibson really got their act together after many years of coasting. In 2002, they released the best guitars they have made in a generation by going back to what made them great in the first place. This is a lovely example with a beautiful flame maple top (you have to see it up close and personal to appreciate its stunning subtlety). OK, so it’s relatively ‘new’ but it is still a staggeringly good guitar evoking the best of the breed from the past
