Now here’s a very, very pretty and slightly unusual Les Paul DC (double cutaway) with flame maple top and gold hardware. It certainly stands out from the crowd. The original double cutaway vintage Les Paul (Junior or Special) was always a very underrated guitar. The very pretty body shape started production in the late 1950s before being discontinued in the early ’60s. Believe it or not, the Les Paul Standard DC version with 2 humbucking pickups was only first introduced in the late 1990s, so there is no direct vintage counterpart
